About ReFashion’s Co-Creative Director
Lola Lombard is a distinguished multidisciplinary artist, immersive designer, creative director, and educator renowned for her exceptional ability to blend visionary storytelling with imaginative custom artwork and interactive concepts. Joining in spring 20024, as the Creative Director of the ReFashion Show, organization, Lola brings her extensive experience, dynamic personality, and signature style to inspire and elevate the brand.
Lola’s adventurous journey in the creative world began at Parsons School of Design, where she majored in Fashion. This foundation was further enriched by a year abroad at Studio Art Center International, specializing in fine arts.
As a cross-disciplinary artist, Lola transitioned to VCU to earn her BFA in Theater, focusing on Costume Design. Her unique skill set led her to Disney, where she broke new ground by being the first individual to work concurrently in the Costume/Special Events and Merchandise Development departments. She gained invaluable insight into the business of arts and entertainment.
Lola's artistic talents extend across various fields, including graphic design, illustration, photography, film production, fashion and costume design, as well as scenic interiors and surface pattern design. Her diverse portfolio includes collaborations with creative clients in entertainment, retail, event production, public art and museum exhibitions. In addition to her design expertise, Lola made significant contributions as a writer and director of children’s stories having authored, produced, and directed over 30 interactive plays, educational curricula, and interactive books for kids focused on creative problem-solving.
Currently, Lola creates one-of-a-kind garments and printed clothing on-demand, imagines the playful universes for unique brands, and is blending her museum and production skills to help overwhelmed creatives and hobbyists create inspired, organized home studios and environments.
Lola’s commitment to the arts extends beyond her creative work; she served as an Arts Commissioner for four years, advocating for theater, dance, visual art, and music groups in Arlington Virgina. She is also passionate about nurturing emerging talents and has successfully mentored students who received merit scholarships and admissions to several prestigious art institutions.
